About Our Owner & Founder

Cody Bellanger, Owner & Founder of Waterfowl Artistry was born with a passion that involved waterfowl in his everyday life.  Cody became licensed to raise exotic waterfowl at the age of 7.  He then started taxidermy and decoy carving at the age of 10, which lead him to state, regional, and world competitions.  After mounting his first bird, a Green-Winged Teal, by the age of 13, he opened up his taxidermy skills to clients…

Since our founding, it’s always been about the art form which set us apart from the rest.  With dreams to eventually win a Wasco Award (Most Artistic), Cody excelled past his dreams, winning 3 total Wasco Awards and over 20 students who have won Wasco Awards.  At Waterfowl Artistry, we have spent the last 30 years evolving birds into a new realm to get to where we are today.
